Every website project — and every custom plugin build — starts with a conversation and ends with a documented handoff. The scope is fixed in writing before work starts — there are no surprise invoices, and nothing proceeds without your approval.
Tell me what you need
Fill out the quote form or contact page describing your project — new site, store, redesign, or fix. I reply within one business day with questions or a written scope proposal. If you are not sure exactly what you need, describe the problem instead and I will suggest the right solution.
Written scope & fixed price
Before work starts, I send a document confirming what is included, what is not, the timeline, and the total price. The initial deposit counts toward the total — it is not an extra fee. Nothing proceeds until you sign off. If something outside the scope comes up during the build, I quote it first.
Build & review on a staging site
I build the full site on a private URL so you can review it in the browser before anything goes live. You can click every link, test every form, and — for stores — run a test checkout. Up to 2 revision rounds are included in every project.
Launch & handoff
I connect the domain, set up SSL, run final checks, and move everything live. You get full admin access and a walkthrough — enough to make basic content changes yourself without needing a developer. For stores, this includes a review of order flow and fulfillment settings.
Ongoing care (optional)
Hosting plans cover the server, daily backups, WordPress core and plugin updates, and a monthly edit allowance. You are never locked in — but most site owners find having someone handle updates and backups is worth more than the monthly cost. Plans start at $25/month.
Building a custom plugin? The same process applies — intake, written scope, build, test, and handoff. Learn about custom plugin development →
Timeline starts when I have what I need from you: content, logo, colors, and login access for redesigns. Projects stall most often while waiting on content — the earlier you pull that together, the faster you launch.
